Paid Software
There are two major types of software available for home use. The first is bought software in which you would go to your local electronics store, and purchase the software, and install it yourself onto your computer.
Freeware
The second type of software available to you is freeware. Almost any software that you might need to buy for your home computer can be found in a freeware version.
